H.E. Keut Rith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, and Chairman of the Government Working Group for Battambang Province, co-chaired with H.E. Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, a meeting to resolve land disputes in Battambang Province.
Battambang Province: On Thursday, the 13th day of the waxing moon of Chaitra, Year of the Dragon, Buddhist Era 2568, corresponding to April 10, 2025, H.E. Keut Rith, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, and Chairman of the Government Working Group for Battambang Province, presided over a high-level meeting with H.E. Say Samal, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, to examine and discuss solutions to resolve complex remaining land disputes in Battambang Province. The meeting was attended by H.E. Sak Setha, Minister of State in charge of permanent vice-chairman of NCDD, H.E. Keo Remy, Minister of State and Chairman of the Cambodian Human Rights Committee, H.E. Sok Lou, Provincial Governor, along with Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen, leaders, representatives from relevant ministries and institutions, and representatives from district and commune administrations in Battambang Province.
During this meeting, as the national authority for land dispute resolution, the Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction, in cooperation with relevant ministries and institutions, worked diligently to discuss solutions to resolve 5 remaining complex land dispute cases in Battambang Province.
As a result, the meeting collectively decided to issue follow-up tasks to relevant mechanisms to expedite the resolution and closure of these 5 complex disputes in Battambang Province according to the planned schedule.
