Kampong Cham: From April 7 to April 9, 2025, a teacher training workshop on "Education for Children with Intellectual Disabilities and Autism" was held at the meeting hall of Samdech Techo Hun Sen Mesor Chrey Primary School in Steung Trang District, Kampong Cham Province, under the presidency of His Excellency Nuch Sleh, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport.
This training workshop was organized with the aim of providing teachers with theoretical knowledge linked to practical applications, with content and methodologies responding to children with intellectual disabilities and autism, contributing to improving the quality of teaching and learning in both public and private educational institutions.
The training workshop was attended by leaders and officials from the Department of Non-Formal Education and Inclusion, non-formal education office officials from the Departments of Education, Youth and Sport of Phnom Penh, Kandal, Kratie, Prey Veng, and Kampong Cham provinces, officials from the Education, Youth and Sport offices of Steung Trang, Chamkar Leu districts and Prey Veng city, school management, teachers from integration classes of 7 target primary schools including Yothipat Primary School, Khantei Paramei 7 Makara, Krang Kaek, Ou Pnov Srei 2, Samdech Techo Hun Sen Mesor Chrey, Sre Preal, and Hun Sen Thnol Bek Primary School, along with representatives from Karuna Battambang Organization, DDSP Organization, and Cambodia Autism Children's Smile Organization, totaling 48 participants (26 females).
